Wall hanging for Christine

Christine G made this wall hanging for her bedroom. It matches her pillow shams and bedding. A fairly new quilter, she did a beautiful job! Elegant fabrics, love the birds in the border fabric.
I quilted two different block designs by One Song framed with SID and a border design.
Detail of the blocks from the back...
Christine was pleased when she picked up her quilt earlier this month.

I am still playing catch up since the quilt show and a couple of busy, frustrating weeks with some set backs. This week I finished a quilt for Donna and a baby quilt for Beckie, two of my very favorite customers. Pix are still on my camera to be posted soon along with some pix of a very special quilt I have been working on for a couple of weeks. A quilt made by a long time quilter, Shirley is 92 years young! Here is a preview of her quilt as I was getting it started...
Enjoy your day, stitching away. Happy Halloween!

One of those weeks

Last week was one of those weeks. One step forward and two steps back!
I did get two quilts finished for Janet...
Janet made this gorgeous Jacobs Ladder quilt for her son. It has lots of different leaf pattern prints. With a request of an e2e, I quilted an allover leaf design. A close up...
and the back...
The second quilt Janet made, leaving the design up to me she told me "It is a gift for my gentle, meditative daughter". She choose soft tranquil colors and patterns on which I added swirls...
and bubbles for a quilting design, a pattern by Kim Diamond that is becoming a favorite...
Did a quick quilt for Honey Run Quilters, made by Theresa, a sample for PIQF (Pacific International  Quilt Festival) An e2e with Deb's Dancing Tulips...
Close ups of the three panels, wonderful new fabrics at the shop! Stop by or like HRQ on Facebook

Also working on two quilts for Kelly and a large king size quilt for a special quilter, she is 92 years young! More on these quilts coming up as I finish them this coming week.
Enjoy Your Day!

ASQG ~ Our Featured Quilter

Bev A is this year's featured quilter for our guild's quilt show.
This is a post of her work displayed at Annie's Star Quilt Guild's 2013 show...

Bev is an accomplished quilter and does most of her own quilting!
However, for the show she asked me to quilt two of her quilts.
This one made with silks and one more, I didn't get a good picture of.
Part of it is in the third picture up, just the edge of it on the right.

Bev has such a diverse body of work and is talented in so many quilting mediums.
Applique, piecing, machine quilting, handwork. Quite impressive!
Thanks for visiting :0)

Tulips in a Vase by Betty Sweet
The story of the quilt is just as amazing

The remainder of my post is picture heavy of more amazing quilts. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed Masai Warriors made by Frances Perata as well as the Zebras below made and quilted by Barbara Michels. Gorgeous quilting!
Donna's Koi ~ Well done and loved her quilting
I like Haiku made by Betty Dimmitt
as well as the quilt below, the fabrics made it dimensional.
The border on Sue K's quilt is reverse applique!
 Flowers...
 and yard birds!

I'll do one more post with our featured quilters work.
There are so many talented quilters in our guild and many more beautiful pieces, 200 quilts were presented. Wish I could post every single one of them! This one was one of my son's favorites
Thank you for visiting. Enjoy the weekend!
