Forty Niners and Packers

One of the play off games today is between San Fransisco and Green Bay with the home field advantage for the Packers. Today's forecast of a chilly 2 degrees predicted at kickoff! Not a good thing for our California Niners. Always a hard choice when these teams play each other. Aaron Rogers, quarter back for Green Bay is from Chico and the Forty Niners are our 'home' team.

In the spirit of the game here is Donna's 49ers quilt :0)

Of course it is quilted with a football design!!!

 I quilted this quilt last November as a surprise so I did not post it on the blog. 

Donna made it for her son as a gift, who probably doesn't read my blog but then, maybe!

The backing is made with the softest red flannel from Maywood. Beautifully made by Donna using Theresa's (Honey Run Quilters) Green Goddess pattern

I heard from my friend Mary Kay last night, she lives near St. Louis, IL and was hunkering down for the snow coming into her area. Will be some chilly games again today.
