Season's Greetings!

Happy to report all quilts promised for Christmas giving are complete and picked up!

as of today... and no, I am not taking any last minute requests!...

I have more quilts to finish before the end of the year, 3 custom quilts that have been set aside for far too long plus a second French Braid for Beckie, quilts for Sewmates and one of my own :0)

Not posting pix on purpose for two reasons... since many of the quilts recently completed are for gift giving and many of my customers share my blog with pix of their quilts with family, just making sure no one gets a peek of what may be under the tree this year :0) and second... it's all I can do to keep up with quilting. I love blogging however, it does take up allot of time.

Speaking of gift giving, I completed a quilt for my son who is celebrating his birthday today. Happy Birthday Scribs!!! He is out of town on business so he won't see it until tomorrow so I will have lots of quilts to share soon. 

Meanwhile... hope all of you have a wonderful Holiday Season

 celebrating the traditions of your faith.

Judy's Pinwheels

in Don Linn's class at our guild's meeting last week with Don as our guest speaker. 

I took his curved piecing workshop on Friday and learned allot.

Serendipity in Fall ~ Tina

This beauty is made by Tina B

Pieced pattern is Serendipity by Linda Ballard 

Tina pieced this quilt at a workshop with Linda at Honey Run Quilters in Chico

Quilting design is Fall Flurry by Bethanne Nemesh 

It's a new design by Bethanne available on Digi-Tech 

This center block is what drew me in to choosing this design for Tina's quilt

and then used the same design as a p2p to fill into the inner border  

and added a single motif/element to the corner space.

Thread is Omni in Pine Shadow / Batting is Quilter's Dream Machine Blend

This quilt is made with just two fabrics, the Fall leaf batik fabric with a 

light green fabric that had gold dots for the background fabric. 

My camera is not doing justice to the beautiful color of this quilt! 

A border and corner design was added to the outer border

which the camera didn't pick it up on the batik print

Here you can see a portion of the border at the bottom of this photo of the back.

Backing fabric is the same fabric as the background

Kelly and Ripples

One of Kelly's Ripple quilts

Ripple is one of many quilt patterns by Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts 

This and the one below are two smaller versions Kelly made since her workshop.

 Both are quilted with two different Mola designs. 

The one above with a custom e2e and the one below with an all over e2e.

This one is set up with a custom e2e using a Celtic Knot design...

Great fabrics including the backing that Linda choose for her Ripple 

that she pieced in Kelly's workshop. Sarah has one ready that I will be quilting soon!

Kelly has done several workshops, many from Jaybird Quilts. Toes in the Sand was a BOM we recently finished. I quilted Kelly's mermaid Toes and guess what, forgot to take pix before delivering the quilt last week... I tell you, I'm loosing it! I brought the quilt with me to Kelly's newest workshop... Gravity. Yep, another BOM from Jaybird. Already have some quilting designs in mind for this one as well :0)

is this quilt that went to PIQF with Honey Run Quilters as a sample with Kaffe prints

A modern Dresden with great prints! 

Completely machine pieced including the inset circles...

Well done by Kelly a quilter extraordinaire! 

Fun quilting design with fun fabrics using Sun Spirit by Kim Diamond 

and a border print from Anne Bright. I took the border design and created 

a new individual element that I quilted into the center of each of the blocks. 

Quilted with Quilter's Dream Wool batting, it gave it a little dimension as well!

Claudia

Well now, it official, I am loosing it! Not only behind in posting pix here on the blog, but taking pix altogether! It happens once in awhile, but now it is happening allot :0( Too much to do and running out of time to get it done.

Claudia brought in 3 quilts... all are quilted, binding attached... and picked up too! That of course is always the best part... getting to share finished quilts with customers. Thank you Claudia, you are the best! btw, I also forgot to give you the cut-offs from your quilts, they are safely stored away until I see you again. 

I did get these pix of one of the three... 

 This is a flannel quilt Claudia made from Woolies. 

Really nice and soft! Picked a thin cotton batting because 

these fabrics are fairly heavy themselves, The backing is a Woolie flannel as well. 

Quilted with Malachite by Patricia Ritter from Digi-Tech

It added a nice texture to the flannels and worked with the border print. 

Claudia's intention was a masculine quilt and I think she nailed it :0) 

Binding has been added since this photo along with the other two quilts for Claudia. One was Kansas Troubles which I, of course, absolutely loved! Great colors, prints and pieced pattern, just my style too. The third quilt was quilted custom and so pretty. I am pretty sad I didn't get pix of both of these beauties ;0( Thank you Claudia, you are very much appreciated.

made for a young man from her church (it left the studio before pix)

Quilts for Betty

Lately I am quilting faster than I am taking pix! Which is a good thing with PIQF and the holidays coming up in the all too near future :0) At the beginning of this month Betty brought in 4 quilts, all of which she has picked up. Love her work and especially love quilting for her, one of my favs :0)

This is the row print mixed in with other fabrics that Betty used to make this cutie

and the kangaroo quilting design that worked perfectly for this quilt!

LOVE my Innova!

Above is the backing, a pretty ribbed knit similar to Minkee... very soft and cuddly

and ever so stretchy!!! again, love my Innova!

A 2nd quilt Betty brought in was actually pieced by her small group part of our quilt guild.
It's a quilt top they started during our guild's community service night this summer.
(Just as many longarmer's do... my quilting time is donated to community service)

Also guild related... this was a guild's recent block of the month
Betty won all of these blocks made by guild members...

and now they are Bee Haven!
That's the design from Anne Bright I used to line up to each of the blocks
 to finish off this fun quilt

and last is a quilt Betty made... I believe the name is Maisie Daisy

Very graphic and very scrappy!
