The next three are quilted on my Innova...
Beckie's Birds
Gorgeous fabrics! Quilted with wool batting, an Omni thread
and a design called Bird in a Nest

Beckie's Birds with a Viewer's Choice award!

This quilt Beckie made for Steve and can be found hanging in his office.
Steve's Quilt made by Beckie
It has birds quilted in the gold border because,
in case you haven't figured it out, Beckie loves birds!

and one of my favorites, Shenandoah
This quilt I did a custom e2e with Williamsburg
with a layout flipping and mirroring the design.
Quilted with a wool batting and a gold Glide thread.
 close up of a corner
and the center of the back

Thank you Beckie!
and thank you Steve for helping us with take down after the quilt show :0)

Finishes this week

A wall hanging made by Tess
Tess' request was for a circular design in the blocks
This wall hanging will go to a Mammography center.

I quilted a circle of hearts with echo stitching around them
and then repeated that design in the borders and corners.
Added a little ruler work in the HSTs
All quilted with two Glide threads in Pearl and Black
with two layers of batting ~ Wool to give it loft
with an under layer of cotton to help it hang nice.

Thank you Tess
Tess also dropped of a wool applique quilt that I am anxious to play on.

Meanwhile got caught up on a few more...
This quilt is made by a new to me customer, Sally V
Love the fabrics!

Quilted with Williamsburg e2e
using an Omni thread from Superior Threads
on Quilter's Dream cotton Select.
Love the paisley backing fabric too!
Thank you Sally :0)

One for Claudia

 Quilted with Escargot e2e

The backing fabric is the dark blue background with yellow flowers. I used two layers of batting for this quilt as well. A wool with a cotton layer. The reason for this quilt is because thru wool dark backing would shadow the light fabrics on the top. The cotton helps keep the top nice and bright white. Claudia also added some of the strips to her backing.

Love the loft of the wool, you can see it in these pix taken early in the morning
with a bit of sun as it rises.

Thank you Claudia!
Perfect piecing and good fabrics as always :0)
You are very much appreciated

Christmas in July for Barbara H
Love her pieced backing altho it was a challenge
to center the top with the backing
both horizontally as well as vertical.

Close up of the back
with my Points and Berries e2e
Its a wonderful red!

This baby quilt was quilted yesterday for my good friend Janie
She is so creative and loves to challenge both of us!

Top fabric is a knit, that when washed, created the crosshatch pattern
The batting is wool and the back is Minkee!
Kind of like trying to quilt three sponges together!

Janie raw edge appliqued all of the fabric squares onto the white knit fabric
using a decorative feather stitch on her machine.
That was a challenge in and of itself :0)
Really cute fabrics with Fox, Owls, a squirrel and a hedge hog
Stitching is added to the animal block prints
with Omni and Glide threads
and an extra square of wool batting
 behind the blocks
and this is Little Tweet on the Minkee backing...

Thank you Janie!
Took a break this morning to post pix, now off I go to add the binding!
See you soon!

Enjoy your weekend

Quilts for Pam and Alice

Quilt top made by Pam P
Great colors and the print fabric with birds is very nice. It's a large quilt and one that seen from a distance as in a photo the pattern is even better. It's made up of the same block rotated with a great layout for the center, nice!

The print with birds is the backing, the outer border and pieced into the blocks.

Quilted with an e2e from Sweet Dreams Studio named Williamsburg
using an Omni thread in the color Hazelnut
just the same color as the birds.

Pam and her MIL, Alice both started bringing quilts in for quilting last year. Alice made the two big star quilts made from panels that I quilted earlier. This is a third one she finished...
 Great kaleidoscope effect!
These panels depict a Japanese woman by a pond with flowers
so I quilted an e2e of purple Koi swimming in a purple pond ;0)

One more quilted for Alice, actually top made by Delores for Alice
Diamonds
Alice choose a new quilting pattern that we thought would work in the diamonds
Quilted with Sweet Peas! using a Fantastico thread from Superior named Rainbows
The swirls in the quilting design also goes well with the fabrics

Sweet Peas, a fun design from One Song Needle Arts

Will save a few more for another post. After working a Saturday to make up some time, I am ready to enjoy the rest of the weekend. Hope you do the same!

Beckie's Birds

Beautiful fabrics, the floral fabric above is the backing
I added a Pearl border in the 2 inch stripe outer border
Beckie added to her quilt with perfect little fussy cut cornerstones :0)
Thank you Beckie

Thankful for wonderful quilting friends

Three for Claudia

Making good progress in October, however, more quilting getting done than posting pix and blogging. Quilted earlier this month and one completed in September, these 3 quilt project/tops were all made by Claudia V, one of my favorite customers :0)
A Christmas table runner
Beautifully pieced and I love Claudia's color and fabric selections!
A few close ups...
...love Claudia's folded inner border/piping detail
Quilted with Holly and Berries in the center
with a Holly and Berries border and corner set in the outer border.

Love this second quilt top Claudia made with it's soft colors

I was able to repeat this Curls and Swirls block pattern
into an e2e which lined up in each block and cornerstone.
Did I mention that I LOVE quilting Claudia's quilts!
Her piecing is spot on :0)

The backing is a great match for the quilting design!
Sew nice when it comes together like this beauty

Claudia's third quilt... beautifully pieced as well!
 A Double Churn Dash
Love this block and below is the backing
Quilting design is Williamsburg e2e

Thank you Claudia!

Very happy with the rain we received early this morning. The sun is peaking out now with the promise of a cool and windy autumn day! Nice! The cooler temps have been very helpful in getting lots of quilting completed. More pix to come as October wraps up including some Halloween quilts. Love the Fall!!! Even my Innova is decked out and ready for Halloween :0)
