ASQG Quilt Show Pics ~ I

Annie's Star Quilt Guild 2013 Quilt Show pictures ~ Part One
These are quilts made by my customers and quilted by Moonbear Designs

Japanese Dancers, made by Sally Jo Smith
She did all the applique and hand quilted this beauty!
My hand in it has disappeared! I basted this quilt for Sally on the longarm :0)

This one with Australian fabrics is made by Sandra E
Halisha of Emanations, the vendor where Sandra purchased her fabrics attends our show.  Sandra, Pam B and I bought lots more of her Australian fabrics! Halisha asked Sandra if she could take her quilt to International Quilt Festival in Houston. In a very small way a quilt I have quilted will be in Houston!

This is one made by our featured quilter Bev A
Made of silks! Quilted with an Antique Rose design
Bev quilts most of her quilts and does gorgeous work!
I will post more of her work in another post.

This is made by Pam B ~ Soul Searching
Quilted with a Sunflower design on this beauty

Love the hearts appliqued by Sandra E, quilted with stars and stripes.
Her border, some of the blocks and backing fabric is called American Pie, love it!

This beauty is appliqued by Kelly K ~ Coxcomb and Cactus
Custom quilted. Notice the Judges ribbon on this one!

Poinsettias' are quilted on this one for Teresa Y Christmas quilt

Farmer's Market for Cindy G. Cindy made this gorgeous quilt in a Linda Ballard retreat that she is rightfully proud of!
Brandie had a good pic of Cindy's quilt! Thank you Brandie :0)
One of the reasons I choose to do the Chicken Wire quilting design, is that the angle of the quilting went well with her perfect stars made with Flying Geese!

One more for Sandra E ~ Hot August Nights
This one was fun to quilt flames!

Two for Frances P, above is Here, Kitty, Kitty
and below is Dots Before Your Eyes.

Below is one custom quilted for Carole W ~ Mom's Sewing Room Floor

A few pics did not turn out. The lighting in the building is terrible :0(

ASQG Quilt Show this weekend

Our Chico guild's quilt show is this weekend!!!
Over the weekend I finished binding, a sleeve and label on my Medallion quilt.
New pics are posted on my blog Ramblin' Rows

I am in charge of vendors and have everything that I can think of ready.
Thursday will be picking up snacks and water, taping off the floors, getting tables and chairs into the booth spaces. Friday morning drop off quilts and an ice chest, check in vendors in the afternoon after all of the racks and our quilts are up. Saturday and Sunday, check in with vendors for breaks and lunch. And above all have fun! Weather forecast is good too :0)

I have a few quilts to get going for customers the remainder of this week. Then I will be busy and may not get to another post... have a wonderful weekend.
Wish you could all come to our show!!!
Next week I will post pics from the show

Four more went out the door

Four more quilts completed this week and picked up today...
Two for JoAnn
I love this quilt! It's very happy :0) I wanted to share it again
Quilted last week, this week I put on the binding,
quilted her Star quilt and added the binding this morning...
Quilted with my Meandering Feathers pattern.
Look at ALL of these Y seams! JoAnn did an amazing job of piecing!!!

Also picked up today... two quilts made by Barbara H...
I loved quilting this one!!!
This is a hard one to shoot pics and show the quilting
Barbara made this for her grandson, it's modern with LOTS of stitching!
(these pics are the quilt on it's side)
It's a quilt from a Fons and Porter magazine, Spring issue of this year.
Designed by Tony Jacobson. Here is a link to this quilt
Barbara brought the magazine along with the quilt and I followed the quilting design
quilting spiral squares and rectangles, straight lines in the stripes
and some diagonal stitching in the 16 patches.
LOVE the effect, it even looked great on the back! (pics did not do it justice)
And Marty's Stars...
In keeping with the garden theme, I quilted an all over panto design
called Dancing Tulip Garden, Designs by Deb
Thank you ladies, it's a pleasure to quilt for you!
This was first time quilting for Barbara. Thank you to Goldie :0)
I am fortunate to live in an area of Northern California filled with some incredible quilters!!!

Enjoy the weekend!

Three custom quilted plus Sample for Honey Run

A few small ones quilted this week.
First up is a quilt for Phoebe, a 3D pinwheel made with Prairie Points. Very cute!
Custom quilted with several geometric line designs, this is the back...
Sailboats for Beckie ~ a baby quilt for Chelsy with cute sailboat fabric. The backing is the same print fabric with a white background instead of blue. Beckie is also making a matching valance!
Custom quilted with block designs of fish, sailboats and a star center. A Sand Dollar outer border with shells in the corners and the red inner border is quilted with a wave design. I also added waves to her appliqued sailboats and stitched around the sails.

A baby quilt for Betty D that she made for her daughter's BFF
A VERY cute ballerina fabric that sparkles! She requested ballet slippers to be quilted in the alternate blocks and I found just what she described on Kim Diamond's website ~ Sweet Dreams Studio
Quilted in pink with a flannel backing. Sew cute and great choices!

A sample quilt for Honey Run Quilters for one of the quilt shows coming up.
Not sure which show this one will be in as Honey Run/Cathy's Sew & Vac will be at our Chico guild's ASQG quilt show and Quilting in the Garden both coming up Sept. 28 and 29.

This quilt will be offered as a kit with the embroidery designs stitched for you! If not available at Annie's Star Quilt Guild's Harvest of Quilts it will be available in the store after the shows :0)
All of the quilting designs that I added are from One Song Needle Arts
I have two big quilts in the works that will be completed by tomorrow plus I finished the quilting on one of my quilts, the Medallion is quilted! YEA!!!
Pics are posted on my blog Ramblin' Rows

If you plan to be in Chico, please stop by our quilt show!
Enjoy the day, stitching away!

Sandy x 2 with Cats

Three quilts finished and picked up by two Sandy's
This beauty is made by Sandy K for her sister
Love the Poppy fabric, it's a favorite from her stash
Quilted with Kim Diamond's Under the Sea in a cream thread to blend with the background of the floral fabrics. We liked the movement that this quilting design creates.

Two more for Sandra E, both quilts with cats...
This quilt is named Hide and Seek in the Park. Batiks in orange and greens with applique cats peaking around the sashing. Very cute!
Quilted with Tropical Garden (very popular this month :0) in a gold to rust variegated thread.
and Motley Crew on the Loose! Quilted with another of Deb's designs called Playful Kittens.
Difficult to see the quilting design in these pics, the large curves are cat tails.
Love Sandra's cats made with fan blocks. She will be adding embellishments for the cat's eyes on both of her quilts now that they are quilted.
Thank you ladies!
